COMMITMENTS TO MY SUPPORTING CONGREGATIONS

Communication is critical to a good and viable mission work for both the congregation and the missionary.  As a preacher for over 30 years I have noticed that many missionaries seek funds for their work and then fail to keep their supporting congregations informed and involved in their mission endeavors.   As a missionary I will make the following commitments to my supporting congregations.

Regular communication
I will communicate with each congregation in the following ways:
1.Monthly Newsletter highlighting my activities. The newsletter will be mail to the congregation   and to all individual members requesting the newsletter.
2.“In the Field Reports” - emails to all members who are interested in a “dairy account” of my weekly activities in the mission field.
3.Yearly power point presentation to the congregation of our work together around the world.
4.Yearly financial report to the congregation.
5.Available for preaching engagements (VBS, Gospel Meetings, and Mission Emphasis) when I am in the USA.
6.I will send pictures from the mission fields and information that you may use to put on your mission boards.
7.As a congregation assume the oversight and direction of a new or existing school of preaching or orphan home.

Active Involvement
There are many opportunities for local congregations, elders, deacons and individual Christians to become actively involved in one or more aspects of our work together in world missions.  Listed below are just a few.
1.Travel and work with me in the mission fields of India for 2-4 weeks.
2.Youth mission trips to India and other mission points.
3.Ladies classes, youth classes, Bible classes could adopt needed projects such as:
a.Supporting a preaching student (65.00) per month for 2-3 years.
b.Purchasing a goat ($35.00) for widow women.
c.Purchasing Bibles in the different languages of the Indian people. ($2.50 each)
d.Benevolence funds for orphans and widows.
e.Gathering teaching materials for classes in India.
g.Supplying blankets and clothing for the orphans and poor.
h.Providing essential vitamins for child-baring women in India.
i.Collecting old song books and old Bibles to be sent to India.
j.Many more possibilities exist.
